BSGA World Ranking: #1
Sawyer Wilson
Did he play lights out at Clearwater? Certainly not. But he played well enough to get the nod and maintain world number 1. His body of work this season includes 2 majors, a 73, and the most quota points in recorded history for a single round. Though he expects to return to the top spot soon, he has relinquished the title for a champion of the heart.
BSGA World Ranking: #2
Mike Horan
Taking advantage of his extended time with the Commish’s ear during the Turgeon/Carmona Union, Horan laid out a formidable case to have his rank jump Turg’s. His main points being; Won a major, lowest score at the Elmore Envite, and a consistently strong finish on tour. The commish obliges.
BSGA World Ranking: #3
Casey
Turgeon
We let our stallion have his day but all good things come to an end, and I suspect when Turgeon visits the rankings he will be disappointed, dropping 2 spots. He once held claim to the #2 spot, but a petition by current world #2 has knocked him down another slot.
BSGA World Ranking: #4
Kenny
Weatherman
Possibly the only other contender for Mr. Consistency, Kenny has scored 20-24 quota points in each of his 6 tournament rounds. He has become a staple in the top 10.
BSGA World Ranking: #5
Jimmy O'Brien
Where did this round come from?! The quietest 29 quota points at the qualifier, Jimmy now has rounds of 27 and 29 under his belt. It’s only a matter of time before this guy pops and runs away with one.
BSGA World Ranking: #6
Spencer
Wilson
A glorious return after pulling his pride muscle, Spencer W carded 22 quota points. You can’t tell me it isn’t the sweetest swing on tour, which begs the question; why isn’t he better?
BSGA World Ranking: #7
Justin
Crist
A quota maintenance round turned bright, Yahweh put up 26 at the Qualifier. Give this man his flowers he is ALL THE WAY BACK (until he makes his next swing adjustment and says he needs to take a month off).
BSGA World Ranking: #8
Jordan Savinon
The exact opposite of Turg, this guy plays best when the lights shine brightest. Legend has it he often plays poorly in practice rounds. Well, that’s news to me, cause all I see him do in competition is GO LOW. Shooting an 80, Savinon has rounds of 32 and 30 in his short time on tour.
BSGA World Ranking: #9
Taylor Lesch
Sandbagger in chief WINS in only his third round on tour (second appearance). Muscle Man can smash with the best of them and demonstrated a newfound touch around the greens on his way to earning the coveted Snorting Scotsman.
BSGA World Ranking: #10
Joey Allison
Combining gangly levers and a mouth that never shuts, Allison put up another terrific round (for him) at 22 quota points, cementing him as a certified tour player.
BSGA World Ranking: #11
Austin Pawlowski
The Road Scholar made the trek once again and carded a tidy 25 quota points. The tour hipster in chief is lethal when given a last minute 2-hour delay, the commish may start tournaments on time going forward to negate this advantage.
BSGA World Ranking: #12
Hunter Lanier
The Alabama Surfer slow talked his way to a terrific 28 quota points on an unforgiving Clearwater CC. Don’t let his accent fool you, this young man is surprisingly cerebral with a club in his hand.
BSGA World Ranking: #13
Kevin Proehl
Despite one of the least complete rounds I’ve witnessed this man play, he still put together an 18 and 24 at The Open. If that’s his floor, I’d hate to see his ceiling with his 20 quota.
BSGA World Ranking: #14
Spencer
Elmore
Good thing this guy pays attention to correct the record. He put up a more than respectable 15 spot at Clearwater to maintain a top tier ranking. His vibes will be missed at the Bonesaw Cup, perhaps he will pay a visit to support the lads?
BSGA World Ranking: #15
Opie
Brodbeck
We’ll chalk this one up to drive-lag from Jacksonville and “floating” after a night of fun the previous Thursday. We expect more from the uber talented Brodbeck, but 13 quota points isn’t it, fam. Perhaps a mental adjustment when deciding clubs and approach is in order.
BSGA World Ranking: #16
Mason Parrish
The mini Horanimal is the definition of professional. Shows up, doesn’t talk to any of his colleagues, puts in the work, and goes home with 20 quota points. One day I’d like to know what his voice sounds like.
BSGA World Ranking: #17
Zach Gordon
Why he would ever swap out his 3-wood when it’s the possibly the deadliest weapon on tour is beyond me, but we learned one thing for sure; when the lights shine brightest, Gordon brings his A-game.
BSGA World Ranking: #18
Harrison Cooney
The new standard for power and distance, Cooney can mash it with the best of them. Similarly, his vibes are impeccable. Everything else about his game is reflected in his player stats.
BSGA World Ranking: #19
Zach Johnson
The good doctor was able to crack in 15 quota points in his tour debut. A friendly face from a distant past has triumphantly returned, time will tell if this was a high watermark or a professional sandbag performance.
BSGA World Ranking: #20
Brenden Hewett
In his first ever official round of golf using rented clubs, Hubert threw up 3 quota points. Respekt. Now you may be asking why his ranking is so high? The answer? Brother stepped up when the commish got jumped years ago (Crist and Elmore were later found sitting on their hands watching).
BSGA World Ranking: #21
Danny Bolnick
For a man who can run into it with his driver every once in a while you’d think he’d card better than 13 quota points. But he didn’t, so he’s here.
BSGA World Ranking: #22
Zack Hubbard
What’s impressive watching Zeebo play golf is you think “no way he’s even going to make contact”, but then he does and it’s actually not bad! A ho-hum 13 and a feather in the cap for the lad.
BSGA World Ranking: #23
BJ Anderson
We call him BJ Anderson cause he BLOWS away the competition, except in tournament play. We’re still waiting for that version of the And Man to show up.
BSGA World Ranking: #24
Josh Mowery
The Quiet Vibe put up a whimsy 8 points after starting off so strong. One has to wonder if this was sandbagging, or a sincere effort? Time will tell.
BSGA World Ranking: #25
Chris Ellis
No, he’s not intoxicated, he just talks like that. Mr. Ellis Island made a respectable debut with 13 quota points, but more importantly, earned an invite back with stellar vibes.
BSGA World Ranking: #26
Johnny Panico
Panico, sporting a swing borrowed from Wil-E-Coyote, returned to earth with a 7 after rounds of 12, and 14 quota points. Doesn’t matter for him though, long as The Tide play well.
BSGA World Ranking: #27
Michael Suchy
All gas no brakes at this stage in the mammoth’s playing career. A case of the hooks removed him from contention on several holes, then the chili dips for several more. If he can string together average contact throughout a round this man could sit in the 20’s. Until then, he sits here in the rankings.
BSGA World Ranking: #28
Andrew Mccormick
Demonstrating raw athleticism, Andy was able to put up 7 quota points without touching a club in the prior several years. Though it wasn’t impressive, he earned a lifetime tour card the most honest way how; purchasing a home from the commish (highly recommend btw)
BSGA World Ranking: #29
Tyler Selesky
Good luck wiping the smile of this young guns face, as he matriculated his way to a dainty 86 on his tour debut. His combination of power, looks, and aerodynamic head make him lethal tee to green.
BSGA World Ranking: #30
Andrew Fernandez
After a brief hiatus on tour he has made a respectable return, carding a 90 on the grueling Copperhead Course. Welcome back brotha!!
BSGA World Ranking: #31
Dylan Chewcowski
You know you’re talking to a golf premadonna when he can’t wait to tell you “played the worst round of my life” after carding a 90 at Copperhead. Good vibes and likely to make future appearances.
BSGA World Ranking: #32
Matt Brookens
Arguably the nicest guy in the world and first tour sponsor who presented a putter to the winner of the lowest gross score at the Envitational. No, he’s not aimed two fairways right, that’s just his setup
BSGA World Ranking: #33
Tyler Brew
Unfortunately the commissioner was not able to witness this players game so can’t comment with much more than a tip of the cap and an excellent 86 on Sunday.
BSGA World Ranking: #34
Tyler Walsh
The lefty has come a long way and one can almost set their watch to a steady and consistent performance. I suspect it’s only a matter of time before this Wil-e-coyote swing makes a serious run
BSGA World Ranking: #35
Zach Daniels
Though he would tell you he didn’t have his best day, his grit throughout the round earned him respect and his ability to feed a ravished commish earned him an automatic qualifier spot come J6.
BSGA World Ranking: #36
John Howes
If you’re wondering where that bacon smell is emanating, look here; tour cop John Howes. One of the chillest mofos on tour, he’s made his return to Tampa and as his first official decision he joined the tour and hasn’t looked back
BSGA World Ranking: #37
Sean Noppenberg
The O-town native had a time at the CCQ and put up a respectable 88 for a new course on a windy day. Good vibes followed him all evening in the after party, and much more is in store.
BSGA World Ranking: #38
Tommy Schneider
Never short on spry attitude and a pleasant demeanor through the storm, Logan introduced himself to the field amidst a rain storm and though his score wasn’t ideal, his attitude was.
BSGA World Ranking: #39
Blaze Eady
Never short on spry attitude and a pleasant demeanor through the storm, Logan introduced himself to the field amidst a rain storm and though his score wasn’t ideal, his attitude was.
BSGA World Ranking: #40
Drew Inman
Unfortunately no one in this young man’s group kept the quota scores so we aren’t positive about this ranking, but we’re optimistic the guy can play. Anticipate much more in the 24′ season.
BSGA World Ranking: #41
Higgy
No one questions this young man’s intelligence, and he is smartly playing the long game, putting up a 3 quota point performance at the Elmore Envitational. Quota maintenance this early in a career is frowned upon, but I appreciate the gamesmanship
BSGA World Ranking: #42
jared Glyn
I’m assuming Jared does some kind of investment banking with that head shot, and if I were an investor, I’d be stacking my chips on this guy. In the lone 5-some of the day has the grit and patience to throw up a 76 like it was NOTHING.
BSGA World Ranking: #43
Matt Fenske
Hailing from Oakmont, Fenske decided to slum it with us resort course guys and roll around in the mud. I was underwhelmed with the final score but pleasantly pleased with the vibes
BSGA World Ranking: #44
Nate Crapple
The Elmore connection is to credit for this tour addition, who had a decent showing given the low expectations.
BSGA World Ranking: #45
Zach Koenn
General nice guy Koenn came in clutch with a last minute slot fill and performed… well, he showed up.
BSGA World Ranking: #46
Logan Ungerer
Never short on spry attitude and a pleasant demeanor through the storm, Logan introduced himself to the field amidst a rain storm and though his score wasn’t ideal, his attitude was.
BSGA World Ranking: #47
Nolan Collins
“Double bogey pick up” need not apply here as the motivated Nolan Collins carded a 118. I don’t think this young man has had a bad day in his life and that is the sort of energy we seek on this tour.
BSGA World Ranking: #48
Chris Lehane
If he just keeps his weight on the arches of his feet he could leapfrog to number 1. Lehane’s game showed many large bright spots and is on a strong upward trajectory.
BSGA World Ranking: #49
Steven Guiffre
Steven is currently serving a late minute bail penalty until further notice.
BSGA World Ranking: #50
Alex
Grandjacquet
This ranking is exclusively due to a lame last minute bail, but at least he gave the commish a headsup.
BSGA World Ranking: Honorable Mention
Nick Abbott
This ranking is a result of the ultimate tour sin; late minute bail with hardly an explanation to the commish.
